White light interferometry (WLI) has proven itself in laboratories for decades and offers many advantages over alternative optical methods. However, for industrial use, an enormous volume of data must be handled. Standard image sensors result in long measurement times that are incompatible with short cycle times or unavoidable vibrations in production. The Lock-in pixel sensors developed by Heliotis process the interference signals directly within the pixel. This reduces the measurement time by a factor of 100 to 1000, making industrial-grade white light interferometers possible.
