Context

Special Machines are One-Offs – Vision Involves Time & Risk

Many machine builders do not have their own vision department or only possess basic 2D know-how. Specifications vary, applications change, and proposals must be fast and reliable. Requesting external vision packages during the proposal phase is time-consuming – and risky.

Our Offer for Machine Builders

Feasibility Check – Process & Results

Technology-neutral from specification to a reliable concept – upon request under NDA. If the task is suitable for heliInspect, we perform a free sample measurement and provide a report that you can discuss directly with the producer. Integration is carried out via a partner integrator – or directly by Heliotis, if appropriate.

01

Briefing & Documents

Your Input: Specification, target metrics/tolerances, cycle time/space, 2–3 representative sample parts, photos/sketches, material/surfaces.

Option: Work under NDA; upon request, direct technical dialogue with the producer.

Output: Initial Go/No-Go assessment + open points.

02

Preliminary Review

Approach: Screening of suitable measurement principles, risk/limit assessment vs. KPIs.

Output: Recommendation: heliInspect suitable or other technology better suited (incl. 2–3 integrator suggestions).

Approval: Only now do we request 2–3 sample parts for Step 3.

03

Sample Measurement

Approach: Measurement setup, variation of critical parameters (optics, illumination, cycle time), documentation.

Output: Representative data samples with brief evaluation.

04

Report & Integration

Report Contents: Measurement principle, data examples, achievable performance metrics, boundary conditions, risks, integration guidelines (Mechanics/IO/Sync/Software).

Integration Path: Partner-first; Heliotis direct for very small or particularly complex projects.
