For Heliotis, social responsibility is more than an aspiration. Inspired by the values of our co-founder, the Albert Koechlin Foundation, we want to help make the world a little better – in our region and beyond.
In 2026, Heliotis is once again providing a total of CHF 50,000 for non-profit projects. As every year, this amount is deliberately split evenly: 50% goes to projects in Switzerland, 50% to international initiatives.
Which organisations are supported is not decided by the company. Each year, our employees nominate projects that are close to their hearts. The team then votes on the funding.
This year’s selection shows what matters to us: support for people in difficult life situations, access to education and healthcare, social participation, and practical help where committed organisations can achieve a great deal with limited resources.
Support in Switzerland: participation, dignity and new perspectives
In Switzerland, Heliotis will support four organisations in 2026 that accompany people in different life situations.
With CHF 15,000, we support the hiki association – help for children with brain injuries. hiki supports families with children and young people with brain injuries and works to ensure they find an equal place in our society.
Other projects focus on people who need guidance, support or practical help in challenging situations: Pro Mente Sana strengthens mental health and offers advice to those affected, relatives and professionals. LernAtelier Luzern creates a low-threshold place where refugees and migrants can improve their German skills and build social contacts. Tragwerk Luzern is committed to people affected by addiction and poverty.
Together, these projects stand for issues that are not a given even in Switzerland: belonging, educational opportunities, mental health, medical and social support, and treating people in difficult life situations with dignity.
International projects: education, health and future prospects
Internationally, too, Heliotis will support three projects in 2026 that create long-term prospects.
With CHF 15,000, we support Child Aid Papua. The organisation combines education, healthcare and nature conservation in the remote regions of West Papua. At its core is the conviction that education opens up new future prospects for children and young people and can also help preserve the region’s extraordinary natural environment in the long term.
The Health Clinic Dordabis in Namibia receives CHF 5,000 for its work in providing basic medical care to a small, rural community in the Khomas Region. This project was proposed by an employee who has been involved on site several times herself. This personal connection in particular shows how concrete experiences and encounters can sharpen the view of meaningful ways to provide support.
With a further CHF 5,000, we support Lacitos de Luz in Peru. The organisation enables disadvantaged children in the Amazon region to have better future prospects. In addition to a children’s home for HIV-positive children, it runs further support services and projects for children and families in Iquitos.
Commitment that makes impact possible
We know: financial support alone does not yet change people’s lived reality. What matters are the people on the ground who take responsibility, listen, provide support, share knowledge and create pragmatic solutions every day. Our thanks therefore go to all organisations and their employees, volunteers and partners. Through their commitment, they provide tangible support for people who need it – and give them prospects for the future.
In addition to financial support, we also promote personal commitment: all Heliotis employees can use up to two paid working days per year for charitable or voluntary activities. In this way, we want to create space for practical help that goes beyond a donation.
